TODAY'S LUNCH ---Cheeseburgers


1. Congratulations to the HS Girls Volleyball team on their win at Webster yesterday. Good Luck to the Lady Red Devils as they play at home TONIGHT, October 8th, against Clay and Roane.

2. Middle School Volleyball team plays at home TONIGHT, October 8th, with game time set for 6 o'clock.

3. Middle School Football's last home game will be held TONIGHT October 8th. The 8th grade team members will be recognized along with their parents before the game. Game time is at 6:30. Plan to come out and support the CMS Football Team & Cheerleaders!

4. Students will be dismissed early TOMORROW, October 9th. Dismissal time is 12:30.

5. ATTENTION SOPHOMORES: The class officers are organizing a basket drawing to raise money for the sophomore class, but you need to bring in a donated item to fill it. Items need to be given to Ms. Jones by TOMORROW, October 9th. Bringing in an item will earn you a point. Please see Ms. Jones or Carissa Yoak with any questions.

6. The first 9 weeks grading period ends Thursday, October 15th. Report cards will be distributed to students October 23, 2015.

8. Seniors -- Check out this link for a list of Scholarships with October, 2015 deadlines. If you have any questions pertaining to the scholarships, see Mrs. Fox.

9. The STARS Leadership Summit which was scheduled for October 8th has been canceled and rescheduled for November 5th.

10. Sports Connection will be here on October 27th at 11:45 to distribute information for varsity jackets.

11. Next Monday, October 12th, Christopher Randolph, Assistant Director of Admission, Davis & Elkins College will be meeting with Mr. Johnson's English 101 students 7th period. If any students are interested in applying or have applied to D&E and would like to speak with Chris personally prior, let Mr. Johnson or Mrs. Fox know in advance.

12. Students who signed up for the GSC College fair must pick up a parent permission form in Mrs. Fox's office and return it signed by October 16th in order to attend the trip.

13. Calhoun Varsity Girls Basketball will be holding a basket bingo fundraiser October 24 at the Arnoldsburg Community Building. Doors will open at 5 pm, and the event starts at 6 pm. There will be over 40 baskets, case knives, 31 bags, door prizes, raffles, and a homemade gun cabinet raffle at this event.
