TODAY'S LUNCH ---Hamburgers and French Fries

HS ANNOUNCEMENTS

1. The HS wrestling team will meet after school TODAY, October 19 in the mat room for pre-season conditioning.  There will be an activity bus.

2. In Celebration of WV's statewide "College Application and Exploration Week", our school is hosting a "College Colors Day" and "Aspirations Day".  We will hold a drawing for Seniors and will provide Seniors time Monday & Tuesday to apply to colleges FOR FREE (other than WVU & Marshall) as well as provide information.

3. Wednesday is "Aspirations Day" & each class will be called by AA. With this, the students will paint their hand, place on their class banner and write their postsecondary aspirations below the hand print. As these students walk across the stage at graduation they can "high-five" their handprint in recognition that they have completed high-school!

4. October 22, 2015 – Picture Retakes/Make-Ups:  Lifetouch will be here to retake Senior & underclassmen school pictures.  If students were absent on picture day, they should plan to get their picture taken that day also.  Please remind students that even if they are not purchasing their pictures they should get their picture taken so we’ll have it for the yearbook.  Retakes for both middle and high school students will start at 8:00 in the morning in the auditorium.  Senior picture retakes will start at 8:15 that morning in the auditorium.  Order forms are available in the office.

5. Report cards will be distributed to students October 23, 2015.

6. Friday is "College Colors Day" where students and staff both are encouraged to wear college colors that they attended or for students where they would like to attend. I would like to reward the class that has the highest in numbers who have sported their colors.

7. Students interested in exploring health career interests through active participation in a health center environment see Mrs. Fox for an application for the Moving Onward & Upward (MOU) program. With this opportunity, students will experience a variety of job skills through "hands-on" learning, and acquire insight into the education and training necessary for entry into the health science field. Upon completion of this program students become eligible to receive a $500 stipend!   Deadline to apply is October 26th.

8. Sports Connection will be here on October 27th at 11:45 to distribute information for varsity jackets.

9. ATTENTION SOPHOMORES: Sophomores wanting to sell tickets for the basket drawing need to pick them up with Ms. Jones during lunch only.  For every 4 ticket books you sell, you will earn 1 point.

10. All student parking permits need to be displayed in the front window of the vehicle. Administration will periodically check for permits.  If you need a permit, please stop by the office.
