TODAY'S LUNCH ---Pulled Pork Sandwiches


1. Students interested in exploring health career interests through active participation in a health center environment see Mrs. Fox for an application for the Moving Onward & Upward (MOU) program. With this opportunity, students will experience a variety of job skills through "hands-on" learning, and acquire insight into the education and training necessary for entry into the health science field. Upon completion of this program students become eligible to receive a $500 stipend!   Deadline to apply is October 26th.

2. ATTENTION SOPHOMORES: Sophomores wanting to sell tickets for the basket drawing need to pick them up with Ms. Jones during lunch only.  For every 4 ticket books you sell, you will earn 1 point.

3. Christopher Randolph, Assistant Director of Admission for Davis & Elkins College will be meeting with Mr. Johnson's English 101 students 7th period TODAY, October 12th. If any students are interested in applying or have applied to D&E and would like to speak with Chris personally prior, let Mr. Johnson or Mrs. Fox know in advance.

4. The first 9 weeks grading period ends Thursday, October 15th. Report cards will be distributed to students October 23, 2015.

5. Students who signed up for the GSC College fair must pick up a parent permission form in Mrs. Fox's office and return it signed by October 16th in order to attend the trip.

6. The STARS Leadership Summit has been rescheduled for November 5th.

7. Sports Connection will be here on October 27th at 11:45 to distribute information for varsity jackets.

10. Calhoun Varsity Girls Basketball will be holding a basket bingo fundraiser October 24 at the Arnoldsburg Community Building. Doors will open at 5 pm, and the event starts at 6 pm. There will be over 40 baskets, case knives, 31 bags, door prizes, raffles, and a homemade gun cabinet raffle at this event.
