HS ANNOUNCEMENTS

TOYS FOR CALHOUN TOTS - There is a box located in the office for you to drop off your toy donations. December 18th is the date for collecting all donated items. Help make the holidays even more special for some of our kids in Calhoun County!

1. ATTENTION SOPHOMORES:  see Ms. Jones to get tickets to sell for the Quilt Drawing.  For every 4 books you sell, you will get a point.  All tickets sold & unsold are due to Ms. Jones by Tuesday, December 8th.

2. SENIORS:  The Thursday, December 10th meeting with Jay Chambers and the Workforce Investment Board has been cancelled. Plans are for it to rescheduled at a later date.

3.   8th Graders: Baby pictures for yearbook are due before Christmas Break. You may turn in your pictures to Mrs. Hall or Mrs. Terry Jones. You may also email them to cbmeadow@k12.wv.us

4. Make sure to order your yearbook soon! Yearbooks ordered before Christmas break are $40 and go up to $45 after December 22, 2015. See Mrs. Hall if you have any questions.

5. CONGRATULATIONS to the Lady Red Devils on their win last night against Webster County.

6. Applications for the 2016 Governor's School for the Arts program is December 18th, 2015. For more information visit www.govschools.wv.gov

7. WVU Tech offers the following online courses & are open for enrollment January 18th: ENGL 101 & 102, HIST 179, PSYC 101, SOCA 101, and MATH 126.  Also students interested in early enrollment do so at the website: WVUTech.edu/earlyenroll or see Mrs. Fox.

8. College 101 Club will be going on a field trip to FSU/Pierpont C&TC TODAY, December 4th.  

9. SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES: West Virginia PTA Scholarship awards will be in the amount of $500 to qualifying Seniors. Deadline to receive applications is December 31, 2015. The criteria will be overall quality of application, GPA, Volunteer service, leadership, honors received and extra-curricular activities.

Application for the Promise Scholarship is now available!

High school seniors, BURGER KING is providing up to $50,000 in scholarship awards for the 2016-2017 school year! High school seniors must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale to be eligible. The deadline to apply is Dec. 15th.

West Virginia PTA Scholarship awards will be in the amount of $500 to qualifying Seniors. Deadline to receive applications is December 31, 2015. The criteria will be overall quality of application, GPA, Volunteer service, leadership, honors received and extra-curricular activities.
