TODAY'S LUNCH --- Chili

HS ANNOUNCEMENTS

TOYS FOR CALHOUN TOTS - There is a box located in the office for you to drop off your toy donations. December 18th is the date for collecting all donated items. Help make the holidays even more special for some of our kids in Calhoun County!

1. ATTENTION SOPHOMORES:  see Ms. Jones to get tickets to sell for the Quilt Drawing.  For every 4 books you sell, you will get a point.  All tickets sold & unsold are due to Ms. Jones by Tuesday, December 8th.

2. SENIORS: There will be a Financial Aid Night this THURSDAY, DECEMBER 3rd from 4-5:30. HEPC will be presenting information pertaining to FAFSA, scholarships etc.  Also Jay Chambers will be here with Workforce Investment Board next Thursday, December 10th at 6 to discuss similar topics as well as for those interested in entering the workforce immediately after school. Those who attend will be entered into a drawing to win vouchers and Calhoun attire!

3.   8th Graders: Baby pictures for yearbook are due before Christmas Break. You may turn in your pictures to Mrs. Hall or Mrs. Terry Jones. You may also email them to cbmeadow@k12.wv.us

4. Make sure to order your yearbook soon! Yearbooks ordered before Christmas break are $40 and go up to $45 after December 22, 2015. See Mrs. Hall if you have any questions.

5. The Lady Red Devils kick off their basketball season with a home game Thursday, December 3rd against Webster County. Come out and show your support. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.

6. Applications for the 2016 Governor's School for the Arts program is December 18th, 2015. For more information visit www.govschools.wv.gov

7. SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES: West Virginia PTA Scholarship awards will be in the amount of $500 to qualifying Seniors. Deadline to receive applications is December 31, 2015. The criteria will be overall quality of application, GPA, Volunteer service, leadership, honors received and extra-curricular activities.

Application for the Promise Scholarship is now available!

High school seniors, BURGER KING is providing up to $50,000 in scholarship awards for the 2016-2017 school year! High school seniors must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale to be eligible. The deadline to apply is Dec. 15th.

West Virginia PTA Scholarship awards will be in the amount of $500 to qualifying Seniors. Deadline to receive applications is December 31, 2015. The criteria will be overall quality of application, GPA, Volunteer service, leadership, honors received and extra-curricular activities.
